Public Forum: Equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Guyanese

On Wednesday June 20, 2012 SASOD held a Public Forum under the theme "Equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Guyanese." This forum was held at Moray House Trust and was chaired by Namela Baynes Henry Rowe. Presentations were made by Vidyaratha Kissoon, Ryon Rawlins and Dimitrina Petrova.

Training Workshop on Gender, Sexuality and Human Rights

SASOD through the AUSAID project "Human Rights Education to protect sexual and gender minorities in Guyana' conducted a workshop with  social work students from the University of Guyana . The workshop was held on 18, 19 October 2011.s. Four of the students - Carolyn Paul, Melissa Gentle, Tristiana Roberts and Padmawattie Kissoon discuss the workshop.

Discussion after Human Rights Training Workshop

The Equal Rights Trust and SASOD are working on a project to build the capacity of civil society organisations to deal with human rights abuses and violations. One activity was the training workshop which was conducted between 9 and 11 August, 2011. This podcast was recorded at the end of the workshop. The people in the discussion talked about what they learnt and the importance of that knowledge. The facilitator is Stan Gouveia.
